ABOUT BODĒ NYC
bodē nyc opened its doors as Bikram Yoga NYC in August 1999 and became Manhattan’s first Bikram Yoga Studio. Owners Donna Rubin and Jennifer Lobo had both been avid practitioners of the Bikram method in other cities and knew that no city needed this healing and detoxing practice more than New York.
Word quickly spread about the amazing benefits of the practice and in 2001 the company opened two more studios on the Upper West Side and downtown making it the first multi location boutique fitness brand in NYC. In 2002, the Flatiron location opened and in 2006, the company opened its largest studio on the Upper East Side.
In 2016, Jen & Donna began introducing new classes that they felt would complement the Bikram Yoga practice, including Hot HIIT™ for core strengthening, Yin Nidra for deep stretching and meditation, and Hot bodē flow for more upper body toning.
Since then they have carefully curated a schedule that boasts far more than their original name claimed. In 2017, bodē nyc was born and with it a vision of providing its clients with a complete 360 degree fitness experience to put everyone on the path to radiant health and enlightenment.
