New Law Lowers New York City's Default Speed Limit to 25 MPH

Last week, Mayor Bill de Blasio signed legislation that lowers the default speed limit in New York City from 30 to 25 miles per hour. Beginning this Friday, November 7th, the speed limit on all streets will be 25 miles per hour, unless otherwise posted. This new law is a key piece of Vision Zero.
