New Neighbor: Bluemercury

On Friday, March 13th, the Flatiron District welcomed Bluemercury, a beauty and cosmetics store. The first Bluemercury store, founded by Barry and Marla Malcolm Beck, opened in 1999 in Georgetown, Washington D.C., and it became "the neighborhood store for beauty, where clients could find high quality, innovative beauty products and honest, expert advice." Today, the company has stores in twenty states, with seven stores in Manhattan alone.

The Flatiron District store offers makeup, skincare products and spa services. With every visit to Bluemercury, clients receive product knowledge, expert advice, friendly service, and handfuls of samples. The company believes that with these samples, clients "can be sure to find products that work for them, rather than ever buy anything that is less than 100% right."

What makes this beauty store unique is their in-store spa. Clients can book an appointment with skincare expert at the spa for treatments ranging from facials to body massages. Bluemercury focuses on results-oriented treatments, including their world renowned oxygen facials, glycolic peels, waxing and microdermabrasion.

Hours are Monday through Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Sunday 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Bluemercury, 695 Avenue of the Americas, corner of West 22nd Street.
