New Neighbor: Sushiro

Sushiro, a Japanese fast-casual restaurant, officially opened on Park Avenue South in the Flatiron District earlier this month. While Sushiro is, of course, known for its sushi, the restaurant also offers a wide range of salads, noodle bowls, grain bowls, soups, sides, and desserts.

Diners can customize noodle and rice bowls with their choice of protein, noodle, broth, and spice level. Sushiro is focused on creating farm-to-table and seasonal dishes like their Aki Harvest Bowl, which has marinated beets, candied walnuts, roasted garlic, fuji apples, barley, and a kale pesto sauce. Customers can also choose from Japanese favorites like gyoza dumplings and Mochi ice cream, which are available year-round.

The restaurant boasts a hip, modern interior. The combination of natural light and white décor gives the restaurant an airy and cheerful vibe. Counters with bar stools surround the restaurant's perimeter, while large white tables in the center of the restaurant are perfect for larger groups.

Hours are Monday to Friday 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., Saturday 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., and closed on Sundays.
