BID Program Spotlight: Spring Plantings

Sunday, March 20th marks the first day of spring, and the BID's landscaping contractor, A. Bulfamante Landscaping, has been busy planting spring flowers in the Flatiron District.

There's no better way to signify spring than seeing white tulips, daffodils, and grape hyacinths in the 148 standing planters on the Flatiron Public Plazas. Purple and white pansies in the BID's 169 tree pits provide bright pops of color along sidewalks. Park Avenue South median malls have been planted with 2,800 pink tulips. They are now beginning to bud, and we are looking forward to them blossoming soon!

You can help support the BID's streetscape initiatives by sponsoring Greening the District, an ongoing effort aimed at enhancing the overall aesthetic appeal of the district through a wide range of projects. This is a great opportunity for your business to show its commitment to a greener and more beautiful Flatiron District. For more information, download our 2016 Sponsorship Catalog here

We would love to see your photos of our spring flowers, tag us on Instagram or Twitter with @FlatironNY!
