Celebrate Earth Day with CarFreeNYC on Friday, April 22nd

CarFreeNYC schedule of eventsNew York City will create three car-free zones on Earth Day, Friday, April 22nd as part of an initiative called CarFreeNYC led by City Councilmember Ydanis Rodriguez. Free activities will include parkour lessons, large-scale games and performances, and free bike-helmet fittings. Rodriguez is the City Council Transportation Committee Chair, and as part of this event, he seeks to highlight the impact on climate change of single-passenger car use.

 

These Flatiron businesses will host free activities:
  • Athleta Flatiron
  • exhale Flatiron
  • The Jazz Gallery
  • Metropolitan Room
  • Origins Flatiron
  • The Peoples Improv Theater
  • TADA! Youth Theater
  • and Uplift Studios.

 

Date: Friday, April 22nd, 2016 
Time: Approximately 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. 
Location: Broadway between 17th and 23rd Streets
