The Flatiron district is finally heating up and the excitement is radiating throughout the neighborhood. This month, Flatiron introduced a new fitness studio, wellness experience, and dining spots, exciting cultural institutions are on their way, and new tenants are moving their headquarters into the neighborhood. Stay up to date with the latest Flatiron District News with our monthly roundup of notable highlights.

  • The Flatiron District is packed with wellness-oriented businesses, so the neighborhood was excited for the opening of Standard Dose at 1145 Broadway, between 26th and 27th Streets (via Fast Company). The online CBD retailer Standard Dose opened a three-story wellness experience designed to offer the super-stressed a time-out. With the growing popularity of cardio-based fitness classes and running clubs, Equinox just opened its first-ever standalone treadmill studio Precision Run Studio at 12 West 21st Street (via Yahoo Finance). Coming to Flatiron, Poster House will open June 20th at 119 West 23rd Street. This museum will host a wide range of rotating exhibitions, a permanent collection of poster art, and interactive spaces where you can be the subject or the designer of your own poster (via City Guide).
  • Famed restaurateur Stephen Starr is opening a European-inspired, yet-to-be-named 115-seat restaurant that will be housed within Fotografiska, a six-story photography museum launching in September at 281 Park Avenue South (via Eater NY).  Named the number 1 bar in North America, get to know the impressive space of The NoMad Bar with a tour inside (via Business Insider). For something sweet, head to Junoon for rice pudding claimed to be "the best in New York" prepared by Chef Akshay Bhardwaj's mother Neena (via New York Post). Rabbit Rabbit Tea, a Taiwanese spot, offering bubble tea, juice, and smoothies opened at 110 East 23rd Street (via hoodline).
