New Neighbor: Dig Inn

In late November, the Flatiron District welcomed Dig Inn, a "Farm to Counter" dining establishment for those who want to eat "ridiculously good food" on a budget. That means that they source naturally-raised meats, local and seasonal produce, and cooking from scratch each day because they believe that "fresh, healthy ingredients taste best." If you order a Grilled Steak salad, they are grilling the steak, on the spot.

This Dig Inn serves Marketplates (which comes with two sides on a bed of grains), Sandwiches, Salads, Brew Lab Iced Teas, Cold-Pressed Juice as well as Butcher Block, Grill, Sauté and CrockPot Specials. You'll be able to find healthy and delicious dishes such as the Grilled Salmon Sandwich, grilled wild Alaskan salmon with basil, cucumbers, and tofu caper aioli on a freshly baked Balthazar ciabatta; Kale and Quinoa Salad, with avocado, roasted sweet potatoes, grape tomatoes, chickpeas, sea salt, and cracked pepper; and a Veggie Plate with your choice of sides on a bed of grains. Local beer and wine on tap are coming soon.

From farm to counter and to the dining table, you can bring your purchased goods down to the lower level dining room for eating. There are small wooden tables with blue benches along the walls surrounding a communal table that seats 10Natural tones and pastel blues illuminate the room that has been decorated with wooden panels along the walls and Dig Inn's signature square spade and hayfork logo.

Hours are Monday through Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
