Paid Sick Leave Survey for Businesses

Last year on February 26, 2014, the New York City Council passed legislation to broaden and accelerate implementation of Paid Sick Leave law. All New York City employers with five or more employees who are hired to work more than 80 hours a calendar year in New York City must provide paid sick leave. Employers with less than five employees must provide unpaid sick leave.

As the first full year of the Earned Sick Time Act draws to a close, the Department of Consumer Affairs (DCA) recognizes that an initiative of the size and importance of Paid Sick Leave needs your continued support and input. The survey below was designed by DCA to collect feedback from business owners on the implementation of the Paid Sick Leave law. As a business owner or leader, you will be able to provide DCA with invaluable insight and help to ensure that the new law continues to be implemented in a way that is as easy for the business community as possible.
