New Neighbor: Brooklyn Roasting Company

Flatiron coffee lovers rejoice! There is a new coffee destination in the neighborhood - Brooklyn Roasting Company crossed the bridge to open their third location, and first Manhattan storefront, in the Flatiron District!

Owner Michael Pollack said that they are "thrilled with the opportunity to bring a little bit of Brooklyn into Manhattan." At the Flatiron location, Brooklyn Roasting Company offers a brand new beverage: the nitrogen cold brew. This signature cold brew offers a smoothness, frothiness, and sweetness that no other coffee provides. The nitrogen also adds a visual and entertainment value. Michael jokes, "it's been a gas."

Brooklyn Roasting Company also serves a variety of other coffee selections, including regular cold brew, macchiato, cappuccino, cortado, and maple shay. They also serve donuts from Dough, proudly displayed in rotating glass cases.

The Art Moderne-inspired cafe has plenty of seats and different types of seating arrangements, including a roulette table with red stools for communal seating or a large party; prime people watching counter spaces along the window on 23rd Street; and dining tables. The black and white floor tiling offers a playful juxtaposition to the curvy wooden bar and the old library card catalog hiding in the back corner. Coffee is displayed throughout the cafe, from coffee tins behind the bar to bulk bins by the entrance.

Hours are Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
