Get Your City Information Through 311

Have you ever wondered about how anyone in New York City knows about side street parking or garbage pick-up? All of this information is accessible through 311, New York City’s primary source for government information and non-emergency services. 311 can also be used to report neighborhood conditions such as noise, potholes, or report the location of a homeless person who would benefit from City outreach services. New Yorkers can connect with 311 online, by text, phone, Skype, social media, or via 311 mobile app.

On 311's website and mobile app, you can view NYC Today, which gives you quick access to information on the City's most requested services: alternate side parking and meters, garbage and recycling collections, and public school status.

For information on a specific address, visit 311's Address Information. On this page, you can enter your Street Address and Borough, and click "search" to get neighborhood information. Information provided includes your police precinct, trash pick-up days, recycling pick-up days, and your local community board.
