Flatiron Tech Tuesdays with General Assembly - Classes Announced!

The Flatiron/23rd Street Partnership Business Improvement District (BID) is pleased to announce the class line up for Flatiron's Tech Tuesdays. This year, in partnership with General Assembly, classes are held on Tuesdays in July at 6:30 p.m. on the South Public Plaza, on Broadway between 22nd and 23rd Streets.

Tuesday, July 7: Digital Marketing: Key Concepts & Metrics

This class is taught by Doug Moran.

The digital landscape is moving at a lightning fast pace. Every industry has been affected by the advances in digital, from retailers to brands and agencies.

This class covers the fundamentals of digital marketing, and introduces you to the key channels, concepts and metrics. Grasp online marketing basics, get your head around the technical jargon and determine how and where your business fits into the digital world.

Tuesday, July 14: Like This: Creating Marketing Campaigns with Instagram, Pinterest & Vine

This class is taught by Noa Gafni.

Instagram, Pinterest, and Vine are well known as social media tools, but users have only scratched the surface of how these platforms can be utilized from a marketing perspective. In this class ideal for marketers and startup founders, you’ll explore all three platforms, gaining an understanding of their user bases, audience demographics, and strong content areas. You’ll go over examples of marketing campaigns on each platform and eventually develop your own specific marketing campaign.

Tuesday, July 21: How to ask for Money: Skills for Freelancers and Startups

This class is taught by Jenny Odegard.

This class will teach you how to ask for money - whether it is in the new business process, working with ongoing freelance clients, or pitching your startup to investors. You’ll learn some tricks and tools rooted in legal problem solving and communication to help you improve your negotiation skills and make it easier to close deals, get paid on time, run effective meetings, and much more.
