New Neighbor: La Maison Maille

On April 25th, French brand Maille opened its new flagship store La Maison Maille at 927 Broadway in the Flatiron District.

Boutique manager and Mustard Sommelier, Pierette Huttner, noted that the neighborhood’s reputation as a culinary hub was an important factor in deciding to open its new flagship store in the Flatiron District. "We selected the Flatiron District as it is a very vibrant neighborhood and centrally located near foodie destinations such as The Farmer's Market at Union Square, Eataly, Beecher's Cheese, and Maison Kaiser," said Huttner.

The boutique features 35 varieties of Dijon mustard, including four rotating offerings pumped directly from authentic ceramic jars, French-style. In addition to Dijon mustard, La Maison Maille also offers cornichons, vinegars, oils, and kitchen accessories.

Beginning in May, La Maison Maille will debut Create Your Own Mustard classes, where participants will be able to infuse condiments with seasonal ingredients, while learning about mustard’s history and cultural uses.

Hours are Monday to Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
