Announcing The Flatiron Summer Series Throwback Thursdays Line-Up
The Flatiron/23rd Street Partnership Business Improvement District (BID) brings back nostalgic fun to the North Flatiron Public Plaza on Throwback Thursdays. The event series will run Thursday, June 23rd through Thursday, August 11th in the plaza north of 23rd Street between Broadway and Fifth Avenue.
The BID organizes a play station with giant games, board games, and cornhole; it is free and open to the public beginning at 11:00 a.m.
Local performance venues and arts studios join in on the fun to provide free cultural education and entertainment, such as afternoon book-binding and printing demonstrations by the Center for Book Arts from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. The Center is an organization dedicated to exploring and cultivating contemporary aesthetic interpretations of the book as an art object. At 6:00 p.m. each Thursday, local musicians will entertain passersby on the plaza.
