Holiday Programming Preview: "23 Days of Flatiron Cheer"

On Monday, November 21st, the Flatiron/23rd Street Partnership  previewed "23 Days of Flatiron Cheer" with hot chocolate from Shake Shack, small bites from ilili BOX, and a premium prize wheel stocked with gifts from local businesses at the unveiling of Flatiron Sky-Line. "23 Days of Flatiron Cheer" is the Partnership's annual holiday programming on the Flatiron Public Plazas and runs from December 1st-23rd. The program's goal is to enliven and activate the Flatiron Public Plazas and promote the neighborhood as a shopping, dining, and cultural destination throughout the holiday season.

Live on the Flatiron Public Plaza

Take a break from the hustle and bustle with a free hot beverage, a chance to spin to win on the Flatiron prize wheel for a gift from a local business, and food drive for the Food Bank For New York City. These events take place on the North Flatiron Public Plaza from noon to 4:00 p.m.

Winter Solstice on the Flatiron Public Plaza

Wednesday, December 21st Join us to celebrate the Winter Solstice, the shortest day of the year. Tonight features free hot chocolate from La Pecora Bianca, the popular Flatiron prize wheel, and food drive for the Food Bank For New York City. The event takes place on the North Flatiron Public Plaza from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

At 6:00 pm, help us and MoMath solve a puzzle by constructing an oversized mathematical tiling to unveil a secret message hidden within! 

Winter Wednesdays

Join us for happy hours from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at local businesses in the Flatiron District!

Wednesday, December 7th at The Churchill Tavern, 45 E 28th Street
Wednesday, December 14th at Rizzoli Bookstore, 1133 Broadway

Food Drive

With so many New Yorkers experiencing hunger and hardship, the BID is holding a food drive through December 23rd to benefit the Food Bank For New York City, the city’s major hunger relief organization. The BID is collecting non-perishable foods such as canned fruit, canned vegetables, peanut butter, macaroni and cheese, and hot and cold cereal at the North Flatiron Public Plaza during Live on the Plaza events.

Donations are also accepted online which double – or even triple – the amount a dollar can provide at the grocery store. Click here to donate.

Social Media Contest

Share your photos on social media using the hashtag #FlatironSkyLine to be entered to win prizes from local businesses throughout "23 Days of Flatiron Cheer."

Photo Scavenger Hunt

Beginning on December 1st, pick up a scavenger hunt card on the plaza at an event or at the information kiosk, then snap photos around the neighborhood. Submit your photos on Facebook @FlatironNY to be entered to win.

Historic Flatiron District Walking Tours

On Sundays at 11:00 a.m., meet us at the southwest corner of Madison Square Park for holiday-themed walking tours. Join our professional guides on a 90-minute journey through this vibrant neighborhood, viewing some of the City’s most notable landmarks.
