New Neighbor: Belgian Beer Café NoMad

The much anticipated opening of Belgian Beer Café NoMad (BBC NoMad), an authentic Belgian bar and restaurant, has finally arrived! On Thursday, August 28th, BBC NoMad celebrates their official grand opening. The 205 seat space spreads over two floors and was designed by Belgian-based Creneau International.

The Brussels-style Brasserie offers a large variety of old world and up-and-coming craft Belgian beers, both on draft and in bottles. The beer served will maintain the highest standards with respect to proper pouring rituals and the proper glassware with each brew being served in a specific glass that best promotes the flavor and notes of the beer. Bottled beers will be offered at three different temperatures: cellar, chambrée, and chilled.

There is an extensive menu of Belgian-inspired cuisine, spearheaded by Executive Chef Bill Peet. Menu items include salmon bacon quiche, steak tartare, and Belgian dining mainstay traditional Moules-Frites, mussels served with hand-cut Belgian fries.

An in-house beer sommelier curates beer pairings to enhance the dishes on the menu. As an example: the Witloof Salad, a traditional salad prepared with red and white Belgian endive (witloof), blue cheese, and candied walnuts, pairs well with a St. Feuillien Triple, a rich golden beer with subtle spice and citrus.

Hours are Monday and Tuesday 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., Wednesday and Thursday 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m., Friday and Saturday 11:00 a.m. to 1 a.m., and Sunday 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
