New Neighbor: Dee Daa Restaurant

Dee Daa, a fast-casual Thai restaurant, recently opened their third New York City location in the Flatiron District. If the restaurant's name sounds cheerful, it is because "deedaa" is the Thai word for joyful. The restaurant's concept embodies Thailand's love for food, bringing the joy and soul from Thailand to New York.

The food at Dee Daa is made fresh to order. You pick your main dish, and they assemble it right then and there in the open kitchen. Noodle options include Paad Thai and Drunken Noodles, while rice dishes range from Green Curry to Roasted Chili Jam Stirfry, both served with Thai Jasmine Rice. You can also opt for an oil-free meal with their Infused Rice. Vegetarain and gluten free options are also available upon request.

The restaurant aims "to put a little joy back in your lunch break," and on Thursdays, Dee Daa offers a $10 menu that includes a main, a side, and a drink.

Hours are Monday through Friday 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Dee Daa Restaurant, 668 Sixth Avenue, between 20th and 21st Streets.
