New York City Council Member Robert Cornegy Addresses Issues Affecting Small Businesses at Flatiron BID and Baruch College’s Business Assistance Forum

The Flatiron/23rd Street Partnership Business Improvement District (BID) and Baruch College today hosted a free business assistance forum, Moving Beyond Today: A Road Map Forward. In the event’s keynote address, New York City Council Member Robert E. Cornegy, Jr., Chair of the Committee on Small Business, discussed a range of topics affecting small businesses, including access to capital and technical assistance, and the Earned Sick Time Expansion Bill.
 
“My priority is to help small businesses access capital and technical assistance so they can build their capacities and hire more people,” Council Member Cornegy told the event’s 140 attendees. “This morning’s forum, with its workshops on those important topics,helps us achieve those goals.”
