Summer has finally arrived, and June was a busy month for the Flatiron District, as media highlights include exciting food opportunities and new business expansion.   • Several new restaurants opened in the neighborhood this month. &pizza's district location on West 28th Street opened its doors offering a casual pizza spot with a Chipotle-style concept (via Buzzfeed). The district also welcomed Korean barbecue steakhouse Cote, where guests are greeted with tabletop grills at this upscale joint (via New York Times)
  • The technological and financial news of Cheddar will be expanding its programming thanks to their recent partnership with Fusion TV (via Media Post). Flatiron Health has announced a collaboration with the National Cancer Institute to use real-world data in the development of clinical trial design and prospective research studies (via Business Wire). 
  • Commercial real estate in the Flatiron District is continuing to hold strong. Research technology provider Remesh opened its headquarters (via Mar Tech Series) and Trialspark, a healthcare tech company, signed a lease at 45 West 25th Street citing, "the unique design-build program that allows the tenant to build out their ideal workspace in a loft-style space boasting the tech-friendly amenities tenants of this caliber desire" is what persuaded the deal (via The Real Deal)
  • The Madison Square Park Conservancy announced its plan to create a new park entrance on 24th Street to highlight the park's monument commemorating veterans (via Town & Village). Madison Square Park also began its Prismatic Park public art series with several sculptures that can serve as stages for workshops and performances by choreographers, dancers, musicians, and poets now through October 8, 2017 (via Time Out).
