Digital Marketing and Communication

The Partnership’s website is the main source of information about all aspects of life in the Flatiron District. It provides information on our programs and services as well as useful information about the neighborhood. We produce a weekly electronic newsletter featuring district news and happenings. Subscribers also receive periodic email communications from the us such as invitations to special events, business opportunities and programs as well as other important information. Programming and Events

The Partnerships’s educational and community events are produced under the "Intersections: A Series Focused on Information, Ideas and Our Community" brand. Intersections events include a speaker series, which brings together our members and their local elected officials and government/service providers to foster awareness and communication. Business assistance forums are held in conjunction with Baruch College that provide our businesses with opportunities to learn how they can grow as well as access government and private programs. 

Then Partnership holds an Annual Meeting in June; the meeting is open to the public and provides highlights of the past year, information about upcoming projects, a review of our financial health, and the election of board members. 

Networking events and community receptions are organized by the Partnership several times a year. The annual Celebrate Flatiron Partnerships cocktail reception is our largest networking event and provides a forum for members to learn more about us and to meet other area stakeholders. 

Throughout the summer months, the Partnership works with local businesses and organizations to activate the Flatiron Public Plazas. The Flatiron Summer Series includes free public events such as "Talk Tuesday" classes in partnership with Flatiron-based General Assembly, "Wellness Wednesday" fitness classes local fitness studios, and "Throwback Thursdays" complete with free games and kids' activities during the day along with music and improv performances in the evening.

The Partnership, with local partners and sponsors, produces an annual holiday program for the Public Plazas, complete with a large-scale installation and free programming and events throughout the month of December.

Sponsorship Program 

The Partnership supplements the special assessment with sponsorship funds from local businesses and property owners. Participation in the sponsorship program allows companies to show their support for the district and also provides brand recognition throughout the Flatiron District and beyond. A catalog presenting a comprehensive menu of the various sponsorship opportunities is released annually.

Collateral and Print Communications 

The Partnership designs and produces a range of print materials for business, visitors, area residents, employees, and organizations. These materials are free and are provided in large part through the support of area sponsors. The full-color Discover Flatiron Map includes a listing of businesses in the district organized by category, as well as local architectural and historical attractions. A Manhattan subway system map is also included.  It can be found at the Partnership’s Visitor Information Cart on the Flatiron Public Plazas and at NYC & Co. Visitor Centers.

Weekly Walking Tour 

The Partnership provides a free historic walking tour of the neighborhood each Sunday at 11 am. No advance registration required. All of the details can be found here.
