New Neighbor: Dig Inn

Dig Inn's first area location opened at Broadway and 28th Street in late November, and it quickly became a popular lunch destination, and on Friday, May 8th, Dig Inn opened their second outpost in the Flatiron District on 23rd Street at Madison Avenue.

The Madison Square location is Dig Inn's 11th storefront in New York City. As is their custom, to celebrate the opening they offered a "pay what you want" deal to support UNICEF's Next Generation Water Project, and in three hours, they raised $4,000. Furthering their commitment to sustainability, Dig Inn does not sell bottled water at their newest location; instead they offer $2 reusable containers with a "variety of seasonally infused filtered NYC water."

For fans of Dig Inn, the Madison Square location offers familiar menu items, including marketplates, sandwiches, and salads. In addition to hearty food options, the Madison Square location also offers cold pressed juices, house brewed artisanal teas, and baked goods and sweets.

Hours are Monday to Sunday 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Dig Inn, 16 East 23rd Street, at Madison Avenue, (212) 253-6174.
