New Neighbor: Latin Beet Kitchen

Raymi Peruvian Kitchen’s front dining area has been carved out to make room for Latin Beet Kitchen, a new healthy, Latin inspired eatery serving breakfast and lunch on-the-go using only high quality organic, gluten-free, and non-GMO ingredients. “After operating Raymi for many years in the Flatiron District, we are thrilled to bring our new concept Latin Beet Kitchen to the neighborhood," gushed Roger Torres, who operates Raymi and Latin Beet Kitchen along with his brothers and co-chefs Jaime Torres and Felipe Torres.

Latin Beet Kitchen is the morning and early afternoon counterpart of Raymi, which is the Torres family's dinner-only Peruvian kitchen and pisco bar. With extended business hours, the restaurant will now serve the ever-growing population in and around Flatiron. Roger Torres said, "we love that this neighborhood has the right mix of residents and businesses that allows us to reach that many more people.”

From 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., enjoy breakfast from Huevos Verdes Toast (with avocado, fried egg, asparagus, and red pepper) to La Lox Arepas (organic housemade white corn cakes with goat cheese and smoked salmon). For those in a rush, Latin Beet Kitchen offers on-the-go options, such as Green Berry Bowl, made with almond milk, spinach, spirulina, avocado, and peaches topped with housemade granola, coconut flakes, cacao nibs, chia seeds, banana, and mixed berries.

Lunch is from 11:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Choose from one of the restaurant-made bowls, such as the signature lively and bold bowl - The Latin Beet, which includes sweet potatoes, yellow squash, purple cabbage slaw, crispy, quinoa, salsa criolla, and steak. You can also create your own bowl in just five easy steps: "choose a base, pick a protein, add warm vegetables, top it off, and sauce it up."

On weekends, swing by for brunch from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and enjoy the newly transformed space thanks to New York-based StudiosGo Architecture.
