New Neighbor: Tarallucci e Vino

On Monday, August 15th, Italian restaurant Tarallucci e Vino opened its fifth location in New York City at 44 East 28th Street in NoMad, at the northern boundary of the Flatiron Business Improvement District. The restaurant honors the inspirational Italian saying, “tutto finisce a tarallucci e vino,” meaning that any matter can be resolved over a glass of wine and tarallucci, the classic round Italian cookie.

Each Tarallucci e Vino restaurant boasts a unique menu, personality, and atmosphere that complements the surrounding neighborhood. “We’re thrilled to open our newest restaurant in this stunning architectural gem,” says owner Luca Di Pietro. “NoMad has undergone so much change over the past several years and has become such a fun and vibrant community. We are excited to be part of its growth and want to offer our neighbors a warm and inviting place where they can come together, unwind, and enjoy our delicious food and wine.”

Tarallucci e Vino is known for its exceptional house-made pastries, Italian coffees, fresh pastas, wines, and locally inspired Italian plates. The restaurant’s culinary team is led by new Executive Chef Cara Hermanson, who was formerly a Sous Chef at Flatiron favorite Upland.

In addition to serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner, Tarallucci e Vino also offers a Happy Hour from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. everyday featuring an Italian-focused cocktail menu, 30 wines by the glass, and small Italian plates.

Hours are Monday to Thursday 7:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., Friday 7:30 a.m. to 2:00 a.m., Saturday 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m., and Sunday 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
